Westerfield Tournament
In her commitment to giving back to society, Pegasus Schools hosted a football tournament and a public speaking competition sponsored by Westerfield College, Lagos, on Saturday, 4th February, 2023.
A total of six selected schools in the Uyo zone participated in the competitions. The schools are: Pegasus Schools, Eket; St. Brian Model College, Uyo; Full Life Academy, Uyo; Beulah Secondary School, Uyo; Tower of Ivory, Uyo; and Monef Schools, Uyo
With a brief kick-off ceremony performed by the Head Schools, Mrs M. A. Lewis, supported by the representative of the management of Westerfield College, Mrs Agboola Akinyeye, the tournament went underway at 11:35 am. It was a great opportunity for the young people to demonstrate talents and skills. While the boys were battling on the football field, the girls were slugging it out with public speaking in the auditorium.
At the end of the day, St. Brian Model College won the football tournament while Pegasus Schools won the public speaking competition. All the winners in their various categories received prizes ranging from printers to tablets.
